Visualising light energy from the Earth for soul protection

Light Protection Visualisation and Photograph by Sue Cartwright, Spiral Leaf

This visualisation is a form of meditation that draws on the light energy of the earth to create a sphere of protection for yourself and others.

Use the words below as a guide until you are able to visualise your own similar journey without needing any prompts.

Practice regularly so that you can call on it when needed. You can use the same technique to create a sphere of protection around yourself and the people, things and places you care for.

It takes about 20 minutes so find a comfortable position sitting upright or lying down. Breathe deeply to release any tension, relax your body, focus your mind and start your visualisation.

Follow the light energy

A soft glow radiates from the ground around you until it forms a beautiful golden sphere of glowing light energy.

This beautiful soft light seeps into the ground, down through the top layer of soil, the topsoil and further into the subsoil until it lights up the regolith strata made up of dark decomposed organic material and gigantic granite rocks.

The light activates the atoms of quartz and crystal embedded in the rock making them sparkle before spreading out through layers of loose shingle and organic matter glowing in a harmony of rich, earthy colours.

Still further down, the light slips into a vortex of energy spinning at the core of the earth before spinning back up again to continue its cyclical journey towards the surface of the earth and beyond.

Follow the vortex upwards until you can see the minerals of the earth gleaming and a labyrinth of healthy soil laced with roots, stones, tiny bug tunnels and pockets of water and air.

Imagine the light moving with the constant activity of worms, insects, mites, spiders, centipedes and other living forms, each sparking electric light that electrifies the webs of mycelia or mycorrhizal fungi that colonise the roots of trees.

Imagine these microscopic filaments flashing and gleaming as they deliver life-giving nitrogen, phosphorous, water and other nutrients from the soil to the trees at invisible speed.

This electrifying filigree of light represents the life blood of the underground world, an incredible energy circulating throughout the miraculous interconnections of the wood wide web.

Draw the light from earth

Imagine the light from underground travelling up through the grass, plants, hedgerows and trees growing on the earth's surface.

Imagine the light travelling up through the trees in energised strands of silver light. Every atom of the tree pulses with energy as the light moves up through the tree and divides out into the branches.

With all the trees around you illuminated, imagine sketching arches in your mind's eye between the tops of the trees to create a dome of light. If there are no trees around you, imagine a bigger sphere made from trees at a wider distance.

Now you need to light up the dome and connect it to the earth in order to create a complete sphere of light beneath you, around you and over you. The same applies if you are doing this for another person or situation.

Create your protective sphere

Imagine the silver light moving up through the trees, shining out from the branches and twinkling through the leaves. Watch the light bend into an arch bringing all the lights from the trees to meet up mid air to create a perfect glowing dome.

Imagine the shape of the dome creates a peaceful and safe space around you making a perfect circle which connects with the light energy of the earth and makes the sphere complete.

Feel the sense of peace as you are surrounded by a powerful and beautiful sphere of light energy connected to and protected by Mother Earth.
