Wild Horses
All horses were once wild galloping across grasslands and plains
A long time ago;
All horses were wild;
Galloping in herds;
Or larger bands;
Across the wastelands.
Born to be free;
Fine ancient breeds;
Alpha, beta stallions and mares;
Magnificent animals, indeed;
Strong and sturdy steeds.
Shaping the land;
Grazing and trampling;
Wallowing and scenting;
Clipping the grass, not tearing;
Clearing ice and snow.
Leaving no trace;
With a wide open space to graze;
Replenishing the earth;
With equine grace;
And sensory perception.
