Enjoying the last days of Summer at the beginning of the Autumn season

Welcome September - A Poem by Sue Cartwright, Spiral Leaf

Welcome September

Last days of Summer, glorious days shortening, morning dew glistening;

Autumn crops, apples, pears, squash and leeks, ready for harvesting;

Birds make the most of Nature's wild bonanza, berry hunting.

Welcome September

Originally the seventh of ten months on the old Roman calendar;

When the energies of harvesting align with the fruits of our endeavours;

A time for balance, preparation, setting the stage for personal transformation.

Welcome September

Mid month Equinox or Mabon, transitioning to the darkening of Winter;

Loved ones come together for sumptuous feasts and togetherness;

Adorned in the rich hues of Autumn, golden yellows and deep reds.
