Welcome March
A poem celebrating the joy and vibrancy of the new Spring season
Welcome March, light of the Earth, Alban Eilir;
Spring Equinox, Ostara, Eostre, true and fair;
Awakening of life, renewal, leafy bowers;
Fairies, Butterfies and Toads, Rabbits and Spring flowers.
Welcome March, your namesake, active Planet Mars;
Agricultural guardian, shines bright beneath the stars;
Hedgehogs, Moths and Badger Cubs, fields of boxing Hares;
The break of day, a symphony of vibrant singing birds.
Welcome March, with longer days, ever warming Sun;
As the natural world unfolds, a new season has begun;
Buds begin to blossom, spiral fronds unfurl;
Feel the tender joys of Spring, the magic of new birth.
