Waterfall
For renewal, healing and the upstoppable force and flow of life
Fresh clear water, roaring, ever pouring;
Crystalline clouds of liquid spray, falling;
Down, down from a precipice, extraordinary;
Powerful energy, constant motion, driving forward.
Gravity pulls life's essence into the Earth;
From rocky heights, to the belly of the river beneath;
Ever fluid, ever optimised for speed and stealth;
A call of Nature, drawn to the ocean's inky depths.
Tributaries merge in heavy rainfall, banks swell;
The pace quickens, levels rise, rivers spill;
A raging torrent, cuts straight through the hill;
Arriving at a cliff edge, where all is still.
Until, over it goes, seamlessly, without a breath;
Before crashing, booming, billowing, in a magical mist;
Forming sacred temples where Nature's Sprites live;
In harmony and healing, an indigenous kiss.
