On Swallows Wings
A poem written for me by Lizzie Leigh of Words and Tea
I do not need an Eagle’s nest
or talons long –
I’m born to soar
and sing my Swallow’s song
I call to you from Father Sky
nest within your eaves
casting sickle moons upon your sleeves
and birthing insights by and by:
revealing ways to optimise your lift
displays which take you way beyond the mundane
coming home to that sweet place where life’s a gift …
My joy is found escorting you to places
where fresh inspiration sings
celebrating all the flight it brings
invoking that strange magic
which abides on swallows’ wings.
