[Cu]re Your Fatigue by Morley M Robbins
The power of minerals to boost energy and reverse chronic illness
[Cu]re Your Fatigue is another seminal book that speaks the truth due to an author's diligence in digging deep to find 'hidden' (and rigorous) scientific research that, time and time again, goes against the grain of what we have been told by both the medical and food industries throughout our lives. I have listed other such books below and hope that the revelations shared here will give you another perspective on creating optimum health and wellbeing.
[Cu]re Your Fatigue is a facinating, knowlege-based book that uncovers hidden science and treatments that have been supressed by medical giants, health professionals and the food industry for many years and for clearly nefarious purposes.
This book, and all that has been achieved as a result of its findings, stands on mountains of scientific evidence that has been witheld in a bid to continually sell synthetic products, medicines and repeat prescriptions that fail to cure anyone and in many cases perpetuate ill health and dis-ease across the world.
We have all been led to believe that all kinds of illnesses are the natural result of aging but as increasingly younger generations fall ill or suffer some kind of debhilitating health or mental health issues, the time has come to question the belief in consumer-driven 'convenience' lifestyles propped up by allopathic medicine, and and look to authors like Morley to discover how we can cure ourselves and keep ourselves healthy by making the necessary changes.
Often the most surprising realisation is that what we choose to eat and how we choose to live our lives are the most critical factors when it comes to achieving full health. It also means being aware of (and protecting ourselves from) the constant bombardment of invisible toxins and low frequency energies that permeate our bodies and our environment on a daily basis. It means being vigilent and discerning about what we eat and drink - and which products we bring into our homes and our lifestyle - if we want to achieve optimum health and keep it that way.
I will share some of the most telling and helpful insights below and I hope this will inspire you to want to read more. [Cu]re Your Fatigue is another book that hones in on the truth about health in the particular area of healthy minerals.
This follows similar books I have reviewed about how the heart and blood work (and how to look after them); why we nead to top up with mineral-rich Sea Salt throughout the day and eliminate refined salt that causes harm (as does refined sugar, refined flour, vegetables oils and most mass-produced non-foods); and how to adopt a traditionally nourishing and wholesome diet which is a fantastic recipe book that Morley also recommends.
See below for some of the books that have helped me to improve my health and perfect my diet over the years.

[Don't] follow the money
Morley M Robbins is a the creator and founder of the Root Cause Principle and is affectionately known as Magnesium Man due to his extensive research and understanding of magnesium’s role in the body. Morley was able to decipher the intricate relationship between magnesium, iron, copper and calcium as a way to free ourselves from illness and dis-ease.
Having worked in mainstream medicine as a hospital executive and consultant for 32 years, Morley developed a condition called frozen shoulder for which his family doctor quickly recommended surgery. When friends who owned a health food store encouraged him to try chiropractic care he told them he didn't do witchcraft.
Several months later, the pain was worse and after a couple of weeks of light touch chiropractic care, Morley's shoulder had full range of motion once again. The experience was life-changing and he left the world of hospital administration to learn more.
It took years to study and make connections between hundreds of non-mainstream scientific studies to discover that magnesium deficiency, or insufficiency, caused many common modern illnesses due to its central role in activating 3,751 proteins together with thousands of enzyme systems. Morley also discovered how energy is made at the cellular level, the critical role of copper in [cu]ring fatigue, how excess, unbound iron fuels inflammation, the truth about stress and how to restore balance using the Root Cause Protocol.
This represents a holistic approach to health that takes into account how all the elements of the body work together, rather than limiting the focus to isolated nutrients or conditions. It works by restoring the body's balance of magnesium, copper and iron so that they can work together to optimise energy, improve health and increase vitality.
Much of this protocol involves eating the right food, not eating convenient yet harmful food substitues and living a healthy lifestyle. Looking back on the start of his education at the University of Texas Health Science Centre in Houston, Morley realised he had only received about one to two hours of nutrition training during his entire four years at medical school. He remembered that the treatment recommended by the cardiologist putting slides up on the board showing a reversal of coronary artery disease, was not statins or beta blockers, it was nutrition.
Morley went on to realise that, we physicians have reached a plateau in our ability to manage chronic disease and get results using the convential tools of our trade. More than that, his change of course was driven by the fact that there had to be something more to healthcare than symptom management using pharmaceautical drugs. [Cu]re Your Fatigue is testament to the fact that there is, and he was absolutely right.

Joining the dots
Morley is clear to state that his discoveries do not imply that he first discovered the scientific findings, rather his discovery of medical literature over the last hundred years whose findings have been ignored by mainstream medical science. The sheer weight of his discoveries revealed either an the result of ongoing human errors and worse, the result of a more nefarious agenda, one designed to prevent us from achieving the optimal health and abundant energy we all deserve.
The first part of the clue revealed that prior to this time, Earth's atmosphere was a reducing atmosphere in which oxidation (or rusting) is prevented by natural mechanisms that remove oxygen, the primary one being iron oxides in the land and the oceans. Over e billion years ago this caused the Great Oxygenation Event which caused 99 percent of species to die out.
The second part of the clue revealed that it was copper that saved the day and enabled life to continue because of it's unique ability to turn one molecule of exygen into two molecules of water without producing any oxidative exhaust. Today, the Earth's atmosphere is compoased of nearly 21 percent oxygen, and were it not for copper, all life on this planet must have copper to survive.
This translates into the need for us to take in a sufficient amount of cooper to mobilise and circulate the iron in our body so that it can carry oxygen to our organs, tissues, cells and the microchondria that produces energy. Without copper, iron becomes immobilised and stuck in the tissue which causes a rise in oxidative stress from failed energy production and failed oxidant elimination.
A huge problem is that tests carried out by the health service only measure iron levels in the blood - not excess iron stored in the tissues - and this invariably leads to a recommendation of increassing iron uptake through foods, oral supplements and/or intrevenous iron gransfusions. When the real issue is a lack of bioavailable copper, not a lack of iron, because cooper ios essential to activate ferroportin, the only known exporter of iron from cells to the blood.
You can see the detail that this book goes into and this is the tip of the iceburg as Morley goes on to explain the keys to having more energy including cellular respiration, the vital function of mitochondria, copper as the ultimate engine, the importance of magnesium to make cells work properly, the need for us to take in plenty of sunlight and the critical role of cholesterol as a govenor to regulate how much oxygen passes through the cell membranes into the cells.
As a sidenote, the many notations I made repeating the words, the beauty and perfection of Nature, represent the dots (or clues) that Morley found and joined together, one by one, to reveal the most remarkable synchronicity of workings being coordinated every moment in our own human body.

Stops and starts
It comes as a relief to know how things work inside us and to understand how we can facilitate the natural workings of our body rather than cause blockages and harm that can be prevented. The beauty of improving your diet and creating amore healthy lifestyle is that it doesn't have to be expensive. It takes time to unlearn what we have learned, learn what we need to know and make changes accordingly.
This is where [Cu]re Your Fatigue is so helpful (and generous) in providing both indepth knowledge and practical solutions. Morley provides comprehensive lists of things to STOP taking, including iron, vitimin D3, calcium , zinc, molybdenum and other synthetic supplements that cause more harm than good.
Other items to eliminate from your diet are the usual mass-produced culprits including refined wholefoods, corn syrups, sugar and artificial sweeterners, vegetable oils, flouride (in water and toothpaste), colloidal silver and heavily processed low fat foods.
Then there are the STARTS which start with basic foundations and alternatives, traditional and nutritious organic wholefoods and wholefood supplements that support the healthy functioning of the body the importance of eating copper and vitimin-rich rich foods such as grass-fed organic liver, bee pollen and cod liver oil.
Daily schedules for each phase are provided with extra chapters on the dangers of synthetic vitimins, how vitimin D is actually made and how certain nutrients need to be taken together (and when) for best effect.
Ways to banish stress
My favourite section comes under the importance of managing stress which is one of the most beneficial things you can do to maintain good health. It ties in with many things we have talked about here on Spiral Leaf so here is a brief recap:
- Take a walk - a most effective way to excerice, take in the natural light and create space for creativity
- Smile - every time we smile, our brain's happiness circuitry is immediately activated which lifts our mood
- Meditate - being still lowers heart/respiration rates and removes harmful stress hormones such as cortisol
- Laugh - genuine laughter reduces stress and stress-related hormones while boosting immune function
- Breathe - take ten deep breaths, inhale and exhale through the nose to keeps stress at bay
- Take a break - stand up to stretch or go outside for fresh air and natural light that produce more energy
- Spend time with loved ones - those with strong social connections live longer so reach out to a loved one today
I hope you enjoyed learning about the remarkable functioning of the human body and what you need to do to return to good health and stay healthy. I highly recommend this book having incorporated some of the protocols to great effect.
