Healing remedy to remove trace metals, parasites and toxins

Cleansing metal detox

Most of us would agree that our environment is not what it should be when as living organisms optimal conditions would be pure fresh air, clean water and food grown in rich organic soil free from harmful chemicals.

Instead our air, water and soils are riddled with pollution particles and toxic waste, and processed foods and medicines contain many 'trace elements' that we have been led to believe are tiny enough not to make a difference. The problem is that our bodies are natural ecosystems and as soon as we introduce anything artificial, our immunity is activated to deal with it, either by expelling it (through a runny nose and so on) or storing it in fat cells so it cannot cause any immediate harm.

This works for a while but if we keep consuming these traces on a daily basis they begin to mount up and we start to feel stressed or poorly as our immune system is unable to cope. This is when an excess of toxins and pathogens are released into the body and more serious symptoms start to surface.

I am not an expert in this so please do your own research. I have been a natural remedy person since an early age so I have learned a lot along the way and met some remarkable people who generously share their experiences and practical knowledge. I hope this will stimulate you to take an interest in natural health and go out of your way to find information that rings true with you.

The following recipe is based on a reliable source (an experienced naturopath) with some additional ingredients I discovered more recently to add to the cleansing power of this remedy. It is a recipe I make for myself and some of my friends who are brave enough to take the bitter taste first thing.

It is part of my daily routine and it keeps my insides clean. I have been doing this for several years now so I highly recommend reading Cleanse to Heal and exploring the Medical Medium website which is where I started a few years ago.  It can take a while to get to the point where your body is free of artificial or adverse elements and it's best to take it slowly if you are new to this type of cleansing.

If you have any existing conditions or are taking any pharmaceutical medications always seek medical advice. Finding a natural healer or doctor who advocates natural healing is always a good idea. Our bodies are capable of healing themselves if we understand what the causes are and give ourselves the right support, protocols and nourishment.

Ingredients

1 tin x whole beans (any variety)

3 tbs x Vitamin C as Ascorbic Acid (powder)

2 x whole Lemons - roughly chopped

2 x whole frozen Lemons - roughly chopped (once thawed or cooked slightly)

2 x whole frozen Grapefuit peel (just the peel) - already chopped to freeze

5 tbs x Dried Star Anise

3 tbs x Dried Fennel Seeds

4 springs (tips) x Pine Needles (Christmas Tree)

3" x fresh Ginger - chopped

5 lts of filtered water (or enough to fill the pan)

Cooking instructions

1) Strain the beans and mash thoroughly with the Ascorbic Acid - add to a large saucepan.

2) Chop the pine needles into the pan and add all the other ingredients.

3) Fill the pan with water and bring to the boil before simmering with the lid on for 4 hours.

4) Top up after 2 hours with filtered water.

5) Keep the lid on at the end of the cooking time to preserve the Quinine and other trace nutrients.

6) Strain into another large saucepan or large bowl, repeat if necessary to remove all the bits.

Storage instructions

1) Heat the over to 140°C / 275°F / Gas Mark 1.

2) Thoroughly wash 4 x 250gm glass bottles or jars in soapy water and rinse well.

3) Place on baking paper on a baking tray and heat for 20 minutes.

4) While the jars are in the oven, place the lids in a saucepan of water, and boil for twenty minutes.

5) Thoroughly clean your funnel if using one to fill the glass bottles.

6) Fill the bottles or jars leaving the lids off until the liquid is cool.

7) Put the lids on and label with: name, ingredients (optional), date made and dosage (see below).

8) Store in the fridge.

Daily dosage

1) Shake before use.

2) Drink 8 fl oz or 237 ml daily - preferably in the morning before eating any food.

3) It is bitter to taste and you can add honey although it won't make that much difference.

4) Down in one!

What to expect

This remedy is full of nutrients with active ingredients that will gently and gradually seek out and remove any pathogens, toxins and trace metals that might be stored in our bodies. Whilst the remedy extracts anything in your body that shouldn't be there, the body then needs to repel the toxins. Be prepared for this by expecting a good flush out every morning, if not several times to begin with. Try and cut out processed food and eat more vegetable bulk to carry the toxins out of your body such a sweet potato, courgettes, wholegrain rice, lentils and so on. This will keep things moving.

Further information

You can find other Metal Detox recipes in the brilliant Cleanse to Heal by Medical Medium. This book will give you all the information you need about what to avoid and how to cleanse your body in a way that will set you on the right track for the rest of your life. When you understand the power of 'whole food' and the potential harm of what I call 'non-food' or processed food, you can start to take control over your health and make informed choices that are better for you in the long run.

A final note about Grapefruit

It is stated that Grapefruit and Grapefruit Juice can interfere with prescription and over-the-counter medications. If this is the case for you, leave out the Grapefruit and replace with a couple more lemons.
