New Cold Moon in Sagittarius by Sue Cartwright, Spiral Leaf

December's New Cold Moon occurs as the year starts to come to a close which is why this is a time to look to the future and ask ourselves what we would like to achieve in 2024. Meditation and contemplation helps us to recognised any fears so that we can process and alchemise it before it takes hold. Learning about fear in a safe, comfortable place makes us more aware of it when we are confronting new situations out in the world.

New Cold Moon - inner reflection

The New Cold Moon brightens the night sky on the longest night of the year. it is a reminder to sit with the stillness and fan the inner flames with practices of introspection and awareness. The energy of the Cold Moon draws us into ourselves bringing heightened inner awareness. It is a reminder to sit with the stillness and fan the inner flames with practices of introspection and awareness.

The new Moon asks us to take a leap of faith, encouraging us to view the possibilities of our lives from the most optimistic point of view. This is not a Moon to wonder if your intentions will manifest. It’s a Moon to wonder when.

As we align with the energy of this day, feel the excitement in the air. Anything and everything you desire is possible. Know you have the power to create any life you want to live. The key is knowing what that life looks and feels like and then believing in yourself to bring it into reality.

New Cold Moon in Sagittarius - trusting intuition

The New Cold Moon in Sagittariuis, a planet ruled by Jupiter representing the element of fire. Sagittarius brings us joy, optimism and meaning, and New Moons help us understand what we want in the forthcoming year. New Moons lower the veil between the conscious and subconscious mind so we can understand what we desire in life and then access our intuition for guidance on manifesting it.

New Moons allow us to understand what we desire from a soul level. This especially applies to deep understanding of our soul desires and how we wish to evolve in the long term. New Moons reveal more out ourselves, helping us to trust our intuition as we envision a life full of everything we desire.

Stepping out on cold and frosy mornings is a wonderful way to tune into the natural world around us and find stillness within ourselves for heightened inner reflection and contemplation.
