The Full Sturgeon Supermoon marks the beginning of a powerful energy phase extended through to the second Supermoon of the year known as 'Blue' on 30 August. The Sturgeon is an ancient freshwater fish revered by many Native American communities over the centuries. This formidable creature was greeted kindly by indigenous peoples with great appreciation for their nutritious seasonal bounty and for the wisdom they had to teach.

Full Sturgeon Supermoon - expressing our gratitude

The Full Sturgeon Supermoon signals a time for us to express our gratitude for the things we have achieved in life, for the things we love and for where we have come from (our ancestral roots). It's a time to remember and honour our ancestors for the widsom they have passed on to us, especially in terms of our innate connection with Nature when we consider the fate of the Sturgeon, teetering on the brink of extinction due to the persistent cruel trade in their invaluable Beluga caviar.

The Sturgeon fish has graced the Earth's deep and fresh waters for the last 200 million years. They can live to the age of 150 and grow up to 23 feet long. Their name means 'stirrer' because they tend to spend their time at the bottom of a lake, stirring up the mud, looking for food.

In August, they rise from the deepest darkness towards the surface which denotes the need for us to bring anything inside us that we need to be aware of to the surface.

Full Sturgeon Supermoon in Aquarius - finding our truth

The Supermoon in Aquarius is a time for raising important questions about ourselves and thinking about our place in life. Under the influence of this intellectual and optimistic air sign, unresolved internal conflicts will intensify, disturbing our balance of energy.

Uranus, as the ruler of Aquarius, brings lightness and clarity, enabling us to think outside the box in consideration of our personal interests. Change is never easy but when we focus on what is best for us and take the right steps forward – intuitively we know that everything will work out.

This is the time to appreciate the bounties of Nature. It's time to step into our flow in appreciation of the fruits of the season and the unique beauties of the cycles of life. The powerful energy of the Sturgeon Supermoon reminds us to seek our own truth and to have faith in our own personal journey.

Trust that your soul knows best and that when you let bring yourself into balance and let unhelpful thoughts fall away, you will be left with the most authentic version of yourself, knowing what is lasting and true for you.
