Full Harvest Moon in Aries by Sue Cartwright, Spiral Leaf

The Full Harvest Moon is the Full Moon closest to the Autumnal Equinox on Saturday 23 September. This event signals the end of the Summer season when fruits and crops are traditionally harvested. This period held a specific significance for ancient peoples and was considered a very karmic time.

Full Harvest Moon - cultivating self-esteem

Full Moons represent the peak phase of the lunar cycle, a time when we experience blossoming, culmination and maturation of our efforts. It gives us the chance to release the results of our work, to share it with the others and to let go of everything that we no longer want to carry or continue in our lives.

This Full Moon reminds us that to feel healthy requires us to feel whole, happy, satisfied and complete within ourselves. It's a reminder for us to work on anything within ourselves that needs to be acknowledged and processed to achieve inner balance. before we try to achieve those sensations or complete ourselves through our interactions with others.

This Full Moon encourages us to cultivate our self-esteem, to develop independence and autonomy, and to meet our individual needs and desires before we expect someone else to do so.

Full Harvest Moon in Aries - igniting our passions

The Full Harvest Moon in Aries is a wonderful combination or infusion of the abundance of the harvest season and the energy of a new beginning characterised by the sign of Aries. This will increase our desire for freedom, new experiences. It lowers our tolerance for boredom and the limitations we put on ourselves.

The opposition between the Sun and Moon taking place on the Full Moon always signals a creative tension between what we want to be and what we think we should be. In this case, the Aries-Libra dynamic brings up a theme of self versus others that strongly plays out and reveals itself in all our relationships. Take some time to reflect on any relationship dynamics that need to be changed or released.

This is also a great time to dedicate more time to our passions and doing more of the things we love. These are the activities that make us shine, animate us and make us feel truly alive so dive in and enjoy every moment.
